An Exciting, New Update to an Old Favorite - the Hyundai Santa Fe Adds a Hybrid Option in 2021

A lot has changed since the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV first debuted in 2000. 20 years of automotive technology and engineering have come along to reimagine the way we think about driving, and Hyundai has led the way and kept the pace the whole time. Nowhere is that more obvious than with the exciting, new addition to join the Santa Fe lineup - optional hybrid power that's both innovative and efficient. At Jones Bel Air Hyundai, where the Santa Fe is a longtime favorite, we

Interior

Like their gas-powered counterparts, both Santa Fe Hybrid models seat five people in two rows. Whether you're the driver in the front seat, or a backseat passenger, your ride will be comfortable and cozy, thanks to the model's ample passenger space, including plenty of legroom and headroom to stretch out in.

Seats are constructed with soft-touch materials and are well-padded to retain their comfort levels on the long haul, with small storage solutions spread throughout the vehicle make it easier to take along the items you need, such as water bottles, cellphones, and more.

Exterior

Similar in appearance and design to other Santa Fe models in the collection, the Hybrid is a four-door SUV with a rear cargo liftgate that opens wide and can accommodate all your important gear. As part of a 2021 redesign it also gets a new front grille that's wide and tapered on the ends, and a new LED headlight design that draws attention even from a distance.

Power and Performance

Joining the Santa Fe lineup for the first time in 2021, the hybrid SUV combines a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with an electric hybrid system, to produce a combined system output of 225 horsepower. It gets all-wheel drive standard and has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Of course, for drivers who prefer a traditional, gas-powered SUV, the 2021 Santa Fe also has two other nice options with varying levels of power and output available in its lineup.

Trim Levels

While the traditional Santa Fe has four trim options to choose from, including an all-new top-of-the-line trim that was added for 2021, you can get the hybrid power option on two trims. They include:

  • 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL Hybrid, the mid-level trim that comes with hybrid power and a range of sought-after features.
  • 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Hybrid, a well-crafted model with luxury-level amenities, available with the efficiency and groundbreaking performance of the hybrid engine.

Safety

As a model from the Hyundai collection, it comes as no surprise that the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid SUVs have all the safety and advanced driver's aids that our customers are looking for. Whether you have a long commute in Baltimore, or a short one in Towson, trust this model to help you arrive safely, with its roster of great standard safety features, which includes:

  • Automatic high beam control

  • Automatic emergency braking

Technology

In addition to covering all your bases for safety, the impeccable Santa Fe Hybrid models also have the tech and connectivity features drivers from Bel Air, MD to Owings Mill are looking for on their new vehicles. Look for standard equipment to start with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and to also include such options as:

  • Power-folding mirrors
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated rear seats
  • Blind-spot monitoring
